Product Safety & Recommendations for Use

The EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) has been in effect since December 13, 2024, and introduces expanded requirements for the safety of consumer products. For manufacturers and retailers of products for dog sports and equestrian sports, such as fwf Friedrich Wilhelm GmbH & Co. KG, the following points are particularly relevant:

Instructions for Use

• Proper Sizes and Applications: Use our products exclusively in sizes and designs suitable for your dog or horse. An incorrect size or improper use can compromise safety.
• Protection Against Damage: Ensure that your animal does not damage the product, e.g., through intense chewing, biting, or scratching.

Regular Inspection

• Inspect before use: Check the product for any damage or signs of wear before each use. In particular, keep straps, buckles, and other safety-critical components clean and free of damage at all times.
• Dispose of damaged products: If the product is damaged, dispose of it immediately and replace it with a new one.

Supervision

• Do not use unsupervised: Never leave your pet unsupervised with the product to prevent injury or damage.
